Goals in 1st half

Memphis Depay and Frenkie de Jong started in the base, Luuk started on the bench. After 23 minutes it was Thomas Lemar who completed a wonderful attack by Atlético: 1-0. Just before half time, Luis Suárez increased his concerns for his old club by scoring the 2-0.

Barca powerless

In the 2nd half, Atlético Madrid mainly defended the lead. Barça tried to force something, but without success. Substitutes Ansu Fati and Luuk de Jong were also unable to turn the tide in Wanda Metropolitano. FC Barcelona had to take another blow and Koeman’s position as a trainer was not very stable.
